Japanese encephalitis - vaccination

This is a private (paid for) service from your Pharmacist for people aged 3-85 years who are not pregnant or breastfeeding, do not have any problems with their immune system and have not taken steroid tablets in the last month. It is not suitable for people who have had a severe allergic reaction to a previous dose of this vaccine. The price you will be quoted is for your consultation and one dose of vaccine – a full course is 2 doses with the second after 7-28 days, depending on your circumstances. Japanese encephalitis vaccination is not available on the NHS. You may be able to get this vaccination privately from your Practice Nurse.
